Sneak Peek...

Sneak peak of the invites for Savannah's 5th Vintage Silhouette Party. :)

Items I Used:

Light Blue Paisley Scrapbook Paper
Blue Cardstock
White Vellum Paper
Ribbon
Doily

The Paisley served as the backdrop for the invitations. The blue Cardstock is what I used to print the party details on, and then I printed her Silhouette on the vellum. I tied them all together with a blue satin bow at the top.

I love how the vellum silhouette turned out, it allows touches of the invites to peek through.

The next step was to trim the tops and bottoms of the doily off so it would be the same shape as the invitations. I wrapped the cardstock invites with the doily and topped it off with a blue satin ribbon bow.

Doilies are going to be a huge theme with this Vintage Silhouette Party. Can't wait to share the next stages! :)

Farm 1st Birthday Party

This party was truly unforgetable and so much fun to create. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Photo Banner highlighted memories from Chanel's 1st Year. I made it by cutting 5x7 pieces of scrapbook paper that coordinated with the party. I used decorative scissors on the edges. The photos were next and then I used my Cricut Machine to do the banner letters that were placed on the corner of the photos. It was hung on twine with clothespins to keep that rustic look.

Pony Rides and Petting Zoo Provided the Entertainment

The "Chanel's Sweets" Table consisted of the cake, cupcakes, cow tales in 3 flavors, and marshmallow peeps
The Custom Cake Created by my Amazingly Talented Husband, grassy hills and cows, pigs and horses surround the bottom 3 tiers and the top Barn Tier served as the Smash Cake for Ms. Chanel. For more information visit Jeff's Creative Confections page on Facebook

The Dessert Table had Mason Jars that included Cow Tales and Marshmallow Peeps to add to the farm theme

For the Main Food Table I used picnic print tablecloth covered with burlap that I bustled with Red Bows to bring out the red in the Picnic Print and add a girly element

To identify the food options I made cow print tags on toothpicks with mini red bows and stuck them into red apples

A Melissa and Doug Crate made for a perfect Veggie Garden

Cow made out of Poster Board and Paint made the Perfect Welcome Sign to the Backyard Festivities

The Birthday Girl Chanel with Mommy and Daddy. Chanel is wearing the most amazingly darling dress by MyFairMaden. I made the Flower out of Doily Trim to coordinate with the Doily on the front of her dress. Find the Flower bands on etsy shop princessschone.

The Pony Corral was held in the firepit (empty of course :)) The kids love getting to "adopt" the pony color of their choosing. Felt and Plastic Barns filled with farm animals were available for the younger kids.

The favors were my favorite part. A 6 pack egg carton served as the packaging, they were filled with Fruit Snacks, Rubber Duck Necklaces, Horse Finger Puppets, Farm Stickers, Bubbles and Lollipops. They are tied of with Twine and a Cow Bell. (Cow Bell Previously known as Jingle Bell.)

The Entry Table held a Farm Animal Party hat for the Mini Party Goers, an adorable repurposed Childrens Book made into a Journal served as the Sign In/Memory Book. Made by ThisHandmadeLife on Etsy.

The Welcome Sign perched on a bail of hay served to set the tone of all the fun that would be had at Chanel's First Birthday. Another one of my favorite Repurposed items at the party. My yet again talented husband took apart a palet he was given by the wonderful Lowe's Home Improvement store. He realigned the wood and trimmed the edges giving the Barn Shape and then of course painted the Welcome and Little Birdie perched on the window.

Thanks for Visiting, come back soon to see sneak peeks of my daughters upcoming Vintage Silhouette 5th Birthday Party. I recently won a Party Planning Package from the Amazingly Talented Kate Landers. Its been so much fun planning this party with her. Can't wait to share!

Farm 1st Birthday Highlights

So, its amazing how much you can love someone elses children. In this case she is my younger sister Stephanie's daughter Chanel. She is my little Love Bug! Today is her very 1st Birthday, so Happy Birthday Bunny, Tee Tee loves you!

This past Satuday was her Farm Birthday Party. Fun was had by all especially the Birthday Girl! Look for lots of fun Party Highlights to come.
This was my 2nd time making some Ruffled Overalls and we went all out on the farm theme. I found the cutest Red & White Gingham trim at Hobby Lobby as well as the Cow Print Fabric. The rest was easy! We of course had to add a bowband, the bigger he better is the motto in our family. I started with Red & White Gingham Ribbon and then layered the cow print and Solid Red Grosgrain Ribbon. The results are pretty cute when put on such an Adorable Girl!
